Where
ISOCON all began >>
Designed
by James Shanley who has been involved in the
partitioning industry for over thrity years. The
knowledge accumulated by eretcing other maufactured
demountable partitioning systems produced by all
the major companies over these years has given
him all the experience required to produce a system
that is truely unique.
ISOCON
is a system designed and developed over a long
period of time resulting in an end product that
is meticulous in design and attention to detail.
The system is truly minimalist in conception and
production consisting of nine components that
are used as required to achive all elevations
the addition of three components to accomodate
height variance when required complete the entire
system.
For
example, only two extruded sections are needed
to build fully single glazed elevations. The main
sections and a glazing bead, plus two fixing brackets,
one angles and one flat. These components complete
the framework.
To
change from single to double glazed, a change
of glazing bead and the addition of a double glazing
section means you still only need three extruded
sections plus a double glazing bracket to achieve
this evelvation.
Curves
Waves and Circles, completely glazed circles, and serpentine waves can be incorporated into any elevation. These serpentine shapes done to order. Curved corners on partition walls can also be achieved by curved glass and aluminium as well as entire walls of glass,
all these points were the basis for the system.
When assembled within it's slender lines, cylindrical
shaped divisional posts, curved head and floor
sections a theme which runs through door frames
three ways as well as corner posts. The whole
look is exceedingly tactile and very much 21st
century.
One
of the principle reasons for the design if the
main section when in combination with any of the
three glazing beads, is that is can be bent to
form semi-circles, which can then be joined to
create four foot circular windows or more semi-circles
in either solid or glazed elevations. If it is
cut into quadrants they can be formed into serpentine
waves either vertical or horizontally. ISOCON
is a system for the future, designed to be be
expandable and flexible for different, needs and
tastes.
By using the same principal of curved corners freestanding curved screens can also be constructed with applied coloured window manifestations for a unique look. |
